Small Business Loan Opens Family Restaurant

Dominican Express opened their doors as a small Dominican Restaurant in April 2012. The owner, Hector Diaz saw an exciting location within the Urban Enterprise Zone and the amenities that are offered. Mr. Diaz was given a small business loan which has enabled him to hire additional employees, make deliveries in and around the downtown area as well as open mornings for the breakfast crowd.  He is now able to serve breakfast empanadas, mangu (green plantains) and a variety of breakfast sandwiches.  He was able to not only purchase a vehicle for his deliveries but new ovens, refrigeration and fresh juice machines. The new hours of operation  are 7:00am to 6:00pm and they  now offer more seating for patrons.  Dominican Express is still serving up their famous chicken/beef empanadas as well as their luncheon special of chicken and rice. The Paterson UEZ is excited to help this small business grow and continue to grow in the City.
